Christmas Wrap Up

Day after Christmas wrapping paper makes me feel like I have my life together. See, I'm ready to wrap next year!

Our last day with Grandma and Grandpa we took them to play put-put. The girls--except Emily, had a great time! Emily was way too bored.
Before and after pictures of the kid's game closet. It will only last for a few days I'm sure.

Emily is quite the wild animal these days. Licking her day while climbing on him is just one example. She also came to visit me while I was taking a bath, and found herself mesmerized with the bubbles.

The big girls worked alongside dad to help build the porch swings for our fire pit. They were doing the holding and screwing alone! Their handy man skills are getting good!
We finally got the South Carolina Walter Cousins together to do their gift swap. So glad these kiddos love each other!

Emily went full piggy on me at dinner....like Ralphie's little brother.

Christmas 2019

Christmas Eve PJ's! Emily has Frozen 2, Kate Harry Potter, Jane Toy Story, and Abby light up Stitch. And the Grandma/Grandpa pile while reading Christmas books before bed.
 CHRISTMAS MONING!!
The girls loved their gifts. Abby got her American Girl Doll. And the girls were excited about everything

We then had a great lazy Christmas day where we ate yummy breakfast, and played with toys all day. So thankful for the precious time with Family.

Almost Christmas

 Cookie Decorating with Heather's family.
Even in his old age Chance still sleeps with a tennis ball. And for my Christmas present, Jon is building me a fire pit with a pergola/porch swing surround. Sometime I'll have after pictures of the finished project!
Grandma and Grandpa Jensen came down for Christmas! Grandma is under there somewhere.

More December Doings

Letting the kids have free reign decorating the tree is always hard for me...but when it is over it works. I'm sure I'll miss it someday.
Decorating the girl's little trees, always so fun!
Fun new church dresses for the 2 younger girls. Then everyone wanted a picture by the tree

I introduced the girls to my favorite childhood Christmas movie Prancer. The girls cried. But in the end they loved it.
These two with their matching shirts and coordinating skirts. Cracking me up.

These girls are loving this old hippie costume that was my mom's when she was young. It was cracking me up as Emily danced to Jane's guitar music.

Meeting Santa at the Ward Christmas Party

Emily would not sit on his lap, or let herself get any closer to him than this.

December from a Mom's perspective

Getting 4 girls dressed and ready for church every Sunday is a hot mess. But, we usually make it--and sometimes are smiling when we get there. I am learning to not feel guilt when their hair isn't professionally styled every time. My main goal at this stage is for them to be wearing clothes and shoes.
Why do kids always poop in the shower? Then they act all shocked about it, like it's going to get them or something!
Abby had a holiday concert at school. I took a video of her doing her speaking part, and like 5 pictures like this one. I'm that mom. Sorry Abby. But at least I can show you the video of your 2nd grade cuteness sometime. You got so into every hand gesture for the songs you had us cracking up.
