Abby is 9 months

SOOO again I'm posting late, but our little miss Abby is 9 months old now! We went to the doctor for her check-up, and she weighed in at 19.5 lbs, 29 in tall. She is MUCH smaller than Kate was at this age! She is quite dainty. But don't make her mad because she screams like a full grow set of windpipes. Still no teeth or walking, but she is pulling up and walking along the couch so she should take off soon. I am sincerely hoping her grumpiness lately will all subside when all of her teeth poke through at the same time ;)
I'm a slacker in the picture department lately, but I will get around to doing more this weekend. Just lots of curls for miss Abs.

Mother's Day

So I forgot to post about mother's day! I was given a beautiful vacuum. Maybe beautiful isn't the right word....I'll go with sexy! It's a dyson animal....so it's a marvelous purple. Is it nerdy or anti-feminist to be excited about a vacuum? Well even if it is-- I love it! Jon also wrote me a love letter (per request...what can I say my regency novels are running my life). He specifically told me not to share the letter with anyone...but I can tell you it was sweet and brought tear s to my eyes.

Big purple chair

 Grandma Jensen sent Kate this awesome inflatable chair. Kate and Abby LOVE it! Kate spends loads of time curled up in that chair watching movies or reading. I'm surprised that Chance hasn't tried to claim it yet!

Coloring Time!

 Abby has decided to pull up on everything already. She walks along furniture. I wonder if she will walk before she gets any teeth! Her favorite place to stand is at Kate's art table while Kate is coloring.

Reading time

 Kate loves to read books to her sister, but she is learning that Chance has a longer attention span than her sister.

DATE NIGHT!!

 This past weekend Jon and I finally went on a date without our kids. We have been out with Abby a few times, but it is SO liberating to finally be kid free! We had a GREAT evening at dinner and a movie. We really enjoyed talking to each other. We joked that if we wait 9 months for every date we will always have a great time. We never ran out of things to talk about.

Kate vs Tree

 Kate loves for Dad to push her really hard on her tree swing. She squeals "Higher Daddy! Higher!" the entire time she is swinging. Well Jon found out just how high too high is. He swung her right into the tree branch. Do you like her giant bump?? It was so bad! And then she got 2 black eyes along with it. The day after the collision, she got stung on the cheek by a bee! Talk about being a mess! Poor girl looked quite beat up for a week!





Then Kate decided to put on some make up. I think she looks like some kind of animal! Cray kid!
