Sesame Street Live!

 My dear friend Gena and her husband gave us tickets to go see Sesame Street Live when it came to town just a week or so ago. It was a dance themed show--so needless to say my girls were in heaven! And our seats were great! We were only about 10 row from the stage. And as an added bonus, our good friends the Daws family, whose girls are the same ages as ours and great friends, were there too! You can even see them sitting behind us in our Family Selfiie!

 Another friend who was there too gave the girls some glow sticks which were another huge hit! And we got popcorn, that the girls chowed down on during the performance too.

The girls absolutely loved singing and dancing in the isle with their friends! This moment of them all holding hands to dance was adorable to me. Thanks again Gena! You sure know how to spoil us!

Grandpa Jensen

My Grandpa Jensen died and his funeral was on Monday. I was fortunate enough to make it to his funeral, thanks to wonderful friends who watched the girls while Jon was at work. I am so glad I went, aside from seeing family that I haven't seen in far too long, I learned things about my grandpa that I didn't know (or didn't remember). My grandpa was a triplet born in 1920 (Willard, Willis, William...talk about confusing!). Their family were good friends/neighbors to David O Mckay. Grandpa and his brothers were the first triplets on church record to serve a mission together. They went to San Antonio. Right after they got home all 3 were drafted into WWII, grandpa going to Japan and his brothers to Europe. His brother Willis was killed in France. Grandpa was in the military police who were tasked with liberating prisoners of war and clean up after the atomic bomb.  He had several Japanese baby clothes from mothers who would hand him their dead babies and walk away. Can you just imagine all the things he saw during his service!? The rest of his life was pretty regular, work in a factory, have 8 kids, serve several missions with his wife. He lived a long, good life (he was 5 weeks shy of his 95th birtday, so in my opinion that counts at making it to 95!)

 I met my parents in the Denver airport and we rode the same plane to Boise. It was fun to have some time with just my parents, they are the best ever!

January recap

 Looking through camera pictures a few days ago I found this gem taken by Kate: Me sleeping holding my medicine. This sadly pretty much sums up my January. Being pregnant and keeping 2 other kids alive at the same time has pretty much wiped me out.  

 Despite my lack of enthusiasm, the month of January did go on, and a few pictures were taken! On the left--Abby got a stomach bug, and Kate was the sweetest sister ever, cuddling her and letting Abby sleep on her all while holding a cup in case she had to throw up. Just too sweet. Then on the right, Kate had laser eye surgery again. Her vision has slowly but steadily improved, so hopefully it keeps going in the right direction. And lastly, my girls just love, love, love their stuffed animals! They love to cuddle with them a the time!

Christmas 2014

 Christmas 2014 shall be known as one of the lamest Christmases on record. We were in Ohio for 10 days, and spent most of those days sick! And not just me having morning sickness--which I did. The girls and I  and Granny all got the flu! It was ugly. Poor Granny even ended up in the hospital. Not fun. So we flew all the way to Ohio to be sick most of the time. My poor mom was permanent nurse. Thank goodness she didn't end up sick, cause I'm not sure if we would have made it! The slim highlights outside of being sick are as follows.

We had a small birthday party for Kate. She loved the attention of course. Somehow I only ended up with a picture of Abby eating cupcakes.

 We went to this place called Entertainment Junction. Inside it had several carnival type mazes. The girls loved it. Poor Abby got over confident in the mirror maze and ran straight into a mirror.

 They also had tons of model trains. The kids had fun looking at all the stuff.

 We made Snoopy gingerbread houses. Totally all Mom's idea.

 Then the girls helped Granny decorate her tree with ornaments they had made.

 Poor Abby started throwing up Christmas Eve night, and this is how she spent all of Christmas Day.

 Kate patiently opened her presents despite the disappointment of her sister being sick.

 Then we were all down for the count for several days. At the end of the plague, I was able to spend a few minutes with my girls Allie and Jill. Its always great to see them!

 Grandma took the girls shoe shopping and they were in love with the carousel there. Then it was time to fly home. Even though I was over the flu, I ended up throwing up 5 times on the return flight and 3 more times in the car! It was miserable! I was so worn out by the time we got to Houston.... ugh. But on the positive side we survived! Let's hope next Christmas is way more fun that this year!

Christmas Party

 Santa came to our Ward Christmas Party! Kate was happy to talk to him, but Abby had no desire to sit still long enough. So this is the best pictures we got! And then the Primary sang a couple Christmas songs, always fun to watch Kate sing!

Pirate Fairy Birthday

 So this year Kate requested a party themed after the movie A Pirate Fairy. I had all these plans to decorate all cute and have fun..,and then reality of being pregnant set in and this is all the decorating that happened. Luckily, the kids didn't care at all. Kate still had a total blast. Thank goodness!

Thank goodness for all the friends who came to help make it fun! And then after the party I thought it was precious that Kate asked Dad to paint her nails with some new polish she was given--needed photo proof!

November recap

This year November came and went and I hardly did a thing. I really have not much to report--it's pretty sad how little I have to say about our life for the last month. We did have a few events though:

 My cousin Arielle and her husband Nathan and their dogs came to visit on their way across the country. My girls LOVED having the extra dogs and friends around! But sadly--this is the only picture I have, reading a bedtime story. So fun to see my cousin!

 Then the rest of the month pretty much looked like this-- at least for my kids. I went to the doctor yesterday and confirmed I am officially working on making baby #3, but man alive it is killing me! I have been sick with every pregnancy, but the demands of keeping 2 other kids alive while you are super sick is not proving easy. But the girls have been amazing at helping me out (oh and Jon too!)

Our thanksgiving was about as low key as they come. We just stayed at home with ourselves. I made a small feast and we just enjoyed the free time with Jon home. The weather was great, so we ended up getting Kate a big girl bike for an early birthday present and attempting to fly a kite-- which promptly broke every time we thought we fixed it....but the girls still had fun anyway.
