Time Marches On

It feels like I'm playing constant catch up! I love taking pictures and keeping a record of all the things we do, but for some reason I am always behind getting it done!
SO we found out lately that Jane loves to eat styrofoam,...just a little fiber right?
And we had a tornado in the area that luckily did no huge damage, But Jon came home during the tornado warning and decided it was a good time to clear out the drainage ditch in our back yard, that I'd been asking him to do for weeks.
Kate had her first grade musical. It was a moving performance about good hygiene. She is always so dedicated to any performance it is entertaining to watch
We had a fun triple date with the SC Walters. We went to dinner and bowling. Always fun to be with out family!

Speaking of family, Kevin and Kelsi came to SC to visit! Kate was a huge fan of playing with Addie.
Jane is a huge fan of Brooke!
All the kids looking in one direction. Quite an accomplishment! And Aunt Heather making Kegan happy. The boys hung out and played games while the girls had a girls night. Fun to have them come hang out!

Tartan Festival

The family indulged me and came to the Tartan Festival with me! They had highland games, music, dancing, and different Clan booths set up. It was fun to see everything! I even talked to one clan representative and she looked up my ancestors and I learned we had our own Clan!

We convinced the girls to try archery. Kate was really good! Even hitting the target with no help! Abby had to be bribed to try, but after releasing her first arrow said "oh nice!" and proceeded to happily finish all her arrows!

And the best way to end time at a festival is with snow cones!

March Update

Chance really is our best friend. He's such a great dog!
Jane loves spaghetti! It's hilarious to watch her shove it into her face.
I've been teaching Kate beginner piano lessons. She is really picking it up! And is incredibly patient when Jane plays along!
Jane seems to always have marker or pen on her these days. This day I found particularly funny. Looks like a prison tattoo.
Proof that it can snow in South Carolina! Even if only a little.
Jane shares my love of Cadbury....raising my girls right!

Abby's Preschool Circus

Abby's Preschool held a circus. Quite possibly the cutest thing ever! Abby dressed up as a ring leader...or animal trainer. She brought her Penguin in to pull behind her in the opening ceremony. And she was a master at the ring of fire, weightlifting, trampoline, juggling, and tight rope walking, Such a fun activity!

Valentine's Day

I love the day of love! The cheesy romantic stuff just makes me so happy! So this year I let the girls design and paint their own Valentine's Day shirts. And I made hearts in their hair. So FUN! And Jon and I did our tradition of writing them love notes and giving them one every day in Feb leading up to the 14th. Kate started giving out some of her own, and this one was my favorite. I love being a Mom of such sweet fun girls!
And Jon gave me a letter with 7 clues I had to solve to earn my Valentine reward. Super cheesy and perfect! Love him!

Speaking of fun--check out this random chicken I found in Jane's diaper. Definitely a motherhood first!

Kate update

Kate had her 100th day of first grade and made a fantastic old lady. And Kate just finished her first basketball season. She was the only girl on the team, and was the least experienced, but she learned alot! One thing Kate did was take her coach's directions very seriously--she would always go right to her spot on the floor and keep her arms up--no matter where the ball was! So fun to watch.

A little bit of 18 month Jane

Jane is still growing and developing at her own pace. She is still only saying a few words, like Mom, Dad and Chance. We are starting the speech therapy journey. And she still only walks when she wants to--she will walk on her knees everywhere though. So stubborn. Here she is feeding herself yogurt and loving it.

And here she is riding in her car seat home from church. Compliments of Abby. Next we have a gigantic goose egg from falling head first out of her highchair.

And here we watching the Superbowl with Dad eating chip dip. Jane is a huge fan of any dip!
